Future of Diplomacy Project Welcomes Nine Spring Fellows

The Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs will welcome nine Senior Fellows to the Harvard Kennedy School campus between February and April 2018. All fellows will be actively engaged in Project programming, including chairing seminars with students, conducting research, and playing an active role in the intellectual life of the Harvard Kennedy School.

Ambassadors Jeffrey DeLaurentis, Jose Antonio Sabadell Named Fellows with Harvard’s Future of Diplomacy Project

Ambassador Jeffrey DeLaurentis, former Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, and José Antonio Sabadell, former Ambassador of the European Union to Mauritania, have been named Fellows with the Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. DeLaurentis has been named Senior Diplomatic Fellow and Sabadell will be the first Rafael del Piño-MAEC (Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation) Fellow at the Future of Diplomacy Project. His fellowship is supported by a grant by the Rafael del Piño Foundation based in Madrid, Spain.

Ambassador Douglas E. Lute Named Senior Fellow by Belfer Center's Future of Diplomacy Project

The Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs has named Ambassador Douglas E. Lute a Senior Fellow. While at the Kennedy School, Ambassador Lute will initiate a research project focused on NATO and transatlantic relations that will address the multiplicity of challenges facing the alliance as it approaches its 70th anniversary. He will also share his expertise in security and diplomacy by conducting seminars and study groups with students and fellows.

Jake Sullivan named Senior Fellow with the Future of Diplomacy Project

Harvard Kennedy School’s Future of Diplomacy Project is proud to name Jake Sullivan a Senior Fellow. He will share his expertise with Kennedy School students and fellows through seminars and study groups on campus, and contribute to the Project’s goal of advancing the public understanding of diplomacy and its practice for the United States. The Future of Diplomacy Project is part of the Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

These fellows are chosen to embark on a global fellowship to engage in a transformative exchange of knowledge and ideas with the leading minds in their fields.

The Future of Diplomacy Project at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs announces the appointment of spring 2015 Fisher Family Fellows; former NATO Secretary-General and Danish Prime Minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen; former EU Trade Commissioner and Belgian Foreign Minister, Karel de Gucht; former National Security Advisor and Foreign Secretary of India, Shivshankar Menon; and Brazil’s former Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Celso Amorim.

Future of Diplomacy Project Selects Senior Indian Strategist as Fall 2013 Fisher Family Fellow

The Future of Diplomacy Project at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard Kennedy School has appointed C. Raja Mohan as a fall 2013 Fisher Family Fellow. Mohan will be in residence for two weeks in October, teach a study group on India’s foreign policy and regional priorities and deliver a public address on October 31 titled “India and the U.S. pivot to Asia: Between Geopolitical Opportunity and Strategic Autonomy.”

Future of Diplomacy Project Selects Senior European Officials as Spring 2013 Fisher Family Fellows

The Future of Diplomacy Project has appointed Professor Soli Özel, author and journalist Christopher de Bellaigue, British Shadow Foreign Secretary Douglas Alexander, and Josette Sheeran, Vice Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) as spring 2013 Fisher Family Fellows. In addition, two former Fisher Family Fellows -- former Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, and former NATO Secretary General Javier Solana -- will be returning to campus in March and April 2013.
