Erik Brooks is a Managing Partner and head of the Heritage Fund at ABRY Partners. ABRY is a private investment organization with multiple funds that focuses exclusively on partnering with companies in the media and information service sectors. Mr. Brooks is currently on the boards of Samba Safety, Music Reports, AHCS, and Vocado.

Prior to joining ABRY in 1999, Mr. Brooks was an investment professional at New Century Holdings, an investment firm focused on privatizations in the countries of the former Soviet Union. During his tenure at New Century, he sourced and managed investments in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Romania and Georgia among others.

Mr. Brooks serves on the Board of Advisors of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, the Advisory Board of Think:Kids at Massachusetts General Hospital, and is the Founder of the Anconia Scholarship Program. As an active alumni advisor for Harvard Business School and Brown University, he spends time with students helping them think about life after academia and how their contribution can make a difference in the world. Previously he served on the boards of The Citi Performing Arts Center in Boston and the President's Counsel for Internships at Brown University.

Mr. Brooks earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated as a Bennett Scholar from Brown University.
