Can Soylu is a fellow with the Geopolitics of Energy Project at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center. His current research focuses on the shale boom and its geopolitical impacts on the US, Russia, China, Europe and the Middle East. In addition, he studies Turkey’s Energy Geopolitics and how it influences Turkey’s relations with Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq and Syria.
Prior to his current position, Can served as a Research Assistant at the Belfer Center and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, and worked at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the UN. He received his A.B. in Social Studies, with a focus field entitled “Politics and Economics of the Post-Ottoman region,” from Harvard University.Last Updated: Oct 31, 2017, 1:27pm
