Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs today announced the launch of the Project on Europe and the Transatlantic Relationship, an effort to help reinvigorate a continental bond that has anchored global order, provided peace and stability, and fueled economic expansion for seven decades.
Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani is Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of DNO ASA, an Olso-listed oil and gas company active in the Middle East and North Africa.
An experienced industry executive, he serves concurrently as Chairman of RAK Petroleum plc, an energy investment company also listed in Oslo, and of Foxtrot International, LDC, a privately-held oil and gas company active in West Africa. He was founder and first chief executive of Houston‐based Apache International, Inc.
In addition to his industry positions, Mr. Mossavar‐Rahmani is active in philanthropy, education and the arts. He is a member of the Visiting Committee of the Harvard Kennedy School and a Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York where he also chairs the Visiting Committee of the Department of Islamic Art.
He has published more than ten books and dozens of articles on global energy markets and was decorated a Commandeur de l’Ordre National de la Cote d’Ivoire for services to the energy sector of that country.
