Dr. Saad Aljabri was Minister of State of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until September 2015, and an active member of the pivotal Political-Security and Economic-Development Councils. Prior to joining the Cabinet, Dr. Aljabri played a significant role in government, as advisor, policy maker and agent for change. His leadership and vision laid to the inauguration and success of multiple strategic programs involving numerous domestic and international partners. Many of these programs continue to bear fruit today.
Dr. Aljabri’s academic interests are as varied as his policy and program experience. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Computational Linguistics and Information Security. He has a strong research and policy interest in issues associated with extremist ideology, counter-radicalization, and rehabilitation. In 1998, he was awarded a PhD from the prestigious Department of Artificial Intelligence, Edinburgh University. He also holds an MSc in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. His undergraduate qualifications include bachelor degrees in Security and Linguistics, and a diploma in Computer Programming.
