Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs today announced the launch of the Project on Europe and the Transatlantic Relationship, an effort to help reinvigorate a continental bond that has anchored global order, provided peace and stability, and fueled economic expansion for seven decades.
Jonas Bergan Draege joined the Belfer Center's Middle East Initiative as a postdoctoral research fellow after receiving his PhD in political science from the European University Institute in September 2017. His research focuses on political behaviour and party politics in the Middle East. His PhD project explored the response of Turkish political parties to the 2013 Gezi protests. Another research project he is pursuing concerns polarisation and voting in Tunisia and Egypt after 2011. Draege has previously conducted research on the Syrian opposition, and he has acted as an adviser for international mediation organisations working on the Syria conflict. Draege earned his Mphil with distinction in Modern Middle Eastern Studies at St. Antony’s College, the University of Oxford, in 2013. His working languages are English, Norwegian, Arabic, Turkish, and Italian.Last Updated: Feb 5, 2018, 5:53pm
